 FOCUS -23 接続詞(conjunction) that

[問題文]

Please remember that access to the backstage area

問題文のthatは接続詞で「~ということ」という意味で名詞節を導き、

他動詞の目的語や主語や補語になる。動詞の後の接続詞thatは省略可。


thatには接続詞以外にも、指示代名詞、形容詞、副詞、関係代名詞、関係副詞的な用法、がある。


《比較》

指示代名詞「それ、あれ」

That i a good question.


形容詞「その、あの」

That car is cool.


副詞「そんなに」

The situation is not that bad.


接続詞「~ということ」

Remember that out time is limited.

that節以下が動詞の目的語


関係代名詞

I was impressed by the speech (that) Mary gave.

thatは省略可


関係副詞的な用法「~する」

Since the day (that) Tony joined our company, he sas had a positive influence on the team.

※関係副詞は一般的に where/when/why/how

where/when/whyの代わりにthatが用いられる場合があり、この場合のthatは省略可

[問題文]

問題文のrememberは「~を覚えている、思い出す」という意味でSVO文型になる。that節を目的語にとることができる。
