HIP5月例会開催についてのご案内
5月例会は、ワールドフレンドシップセンターより、
第43代館長のBradley Coxさん、 Susan Coxさんをお迎えし、
”Peace Building at the personal level. Keeping things simple while building bridges of international understanding.”
について、ご講演をいただきます。
例会の後半では、11月開催の国際フェスタのテキストで紹介する
広島のスポットについて、話し合いを予定しております。
Bradley & Susan Cox Profileーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
Bradley and Susan Cox are currently serving as the 43rd directors of the World Friendship Center in Hiroshima.
They are serving a 2-year assignment in that role which will end around November of 2026.
They come to Hiroshima from their home in the USA, about a 4-hour drive south of Washington DC.
They took on this role after they retired.
Brad worked as an Electrical and Software Engineer.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and computer science, and a master’s degree in engineering.
Sue worked taught elementary school art and holds a bachelor’s degree in education.
They are both members of the Church of the Brethren, one of the historic Peace Churches in the USA.
They have always had an interest in peacebuilding and are thrilled to be able to take on a more active role in helping the world learn from Hiroshima.
