間接疑問
疑問文を他の文に組み込むと「文の一部」となるため
通常の疑問文の語順ではなく「疑問詞」＋「主語」＋「動詞」の語順とする
質問にYes/Noで答える動詞
主語＋述語動詞＋「疑問詞」＋「主語」＋「動詞」
「疑問詞」＋「動詞」 ※疑問詞が主語である疑問文
「if」＋「主語」＋「動詞」 ※疑問詞のない疑問文
質問にYes/Noで答えない動詞
「疑問詞」＋ do you think (believe, supposeなど) + 「主語」＋「動詞」
[例文]
1 Where does she live?
2 I don't know where she lives.
※肯定文の語順になる
3 It doesn't matter how long you talk on the phone.
※オーストラリアの公衆電話料金は均一料金
4 The important point is how often you use the phone.
※間接疑問の節を補語の位置に置くと内容が強調される
5 What happened to her?
6 I don't know what happened to her.
※疑問詞＋一般動詞の疑問文
7 Is he an exchange student?
8 I'm not sure if he is an exchange student.
9 Where do you think she lives?
※Where does she live?
"do you think"を挿入する場合は語順が肯定文の語順になる
動詞の形(lives)に注意
10 Who do you think you are?
「何様のつもりですか[あなたは自分が誰だと思っていますか]」
11 Which team do you think will win?
