[解説]
直接話法～間接話法の転換に際し、
・伝達動詞
・時制
・人称代名詞
・指示語
・修飾語句
に違いが出る。
[例文]
「時制」…「台詞」にある動詞と伝達動詞で一致させる
1 Sam said to me, "I am very busy now."
2 Sam said tome me (that) he was very busy then.
※「伝える相手の視点」で言い換える
「人称代名詞」…伝える人の視点から見た主語・目的語に言い換える
3 Sam said to me, "I am going to the party with my girlfriend."
4 Sam told me that he was going to the party with his girlfiend.
「指示語」…伝えている場所で指すものの有無による
5 Sam said to me, "Is this car yours?"
6 Sam asked me, if that car / this car was mine.
「修飾語句」…時や場所を表す語句
7 Sam said tome me, "I am goin to the U.S. tomorrow."
8 Sam told me that he was going to the U.S. the next day.
9 Sam said to me, "I will wait for you here."
10 Sam told me that he would wait for me there / here.
