2022年4月、ワールドフレンドシップセンター42代館長として来日。
⚫︎Mattew Bateman
Matthew is one of the two 42nd Directors of the World Friendship Center, and one of many from Seattle.
He enjoys learning about Japanese culture such as language, food, and rakugo.
⚫︎Malachi Nelson
Malachi works as a Director of the World Friendship Center since 2022 and is reaching the end of his term.
He spends his free time with the Hiroshima-Palestine Vigil Community and connecting with friends in Hiroshima and around the world.

＜WFCについて＞

ワールド・フレンドシップ・センター（WFC ) へようこそ！ WFC は、バーバラ・レイノルズによって1965年に広島で創立された平和団体のNPO法人です。55年以上にわたって、世界中から広島を訪れる人達が出会い、経験を分かち合い、そして平和について考える場を提供してきました。私たちのモットーは、「一期一会が平和を築く」です。
WFCは、原爆について学ぶ場の提供、被爆者の体験談や平和公園のガイドを通して、皆さまの“平和学習”のお手伝いをしたいという思いを共にするボランティアやスタッフで成り立っています。そして、核兵器廃絶を訴え続けたバーバラ・レイノルズの思いや、彼女の意志を受け継ぐWFC についてもお伝えしています。
皆さまが“平和記念都市ヒロシマ”で思い出に残る深い学びを体験していただけるように、WFC館長・ボランティア・スタッフ全員で、皆さまのお越しをお待ちしております。
